On 18th December 2018 the ACB, Bengaluru arrested Mr. Ullas B. Ganganahalli, while accepting a bribe of Rs.5000/- . On investigation Rs.90,000/- was found with Mr.Ullas. He was found guilty and was unable to produce relevant documents for the seized money.
A resident of Bengaluru applied online with Food Safety and Standards Authority of India to get a permit to start a small resident business, manufacturing sambar powder. Mr. Ullas, Food Inspection Officer, PHI Campus, Sheshadri Road, Bangalore demanded Rs.5000/- to issue the same to the complainant.
The investigation is on.
