Muthyala Madhu (Pearl Valley):

Muthyalamaduvu is a tourist attraction located near Anekal. The place is also known as Pearl Valley. It is located 5km from Anekal and 40km from Bengaluru. Muthyalamaduvu is a multi stage waterfall. With the water gurgling through the rocks making a soulful sound is one of the most peaceful and scenic places in the outskirts of Bengaluru.
The place is famous for its waterfall and the beautiful mountain ranges it overlooks. The water from the falls slides down the flora of the place creating an illusion of a string of pearls, hence the name Pearl Valley. A Nilgiri plantation close to the top of the waterfall is a perfect place to visit to escape the heat while away on a sunny day. Base of the waterfall has enough shade with a small pond where one can test their swimming skills.

Overlooking these falls is a small shrine dedicated to Shiva, adding a religious touch to the place. A puja (prayer) is done once every morning. Situated in the midst of hills, nestled deep down in a valley, this secluded place makes a fascinating picnic spot. The place has a rich concentration of birds owing to the presence of the waterfall. It is known for its verdant surroundings with water falling from a height of over 100 ft. Take a dive in this crystal clear water and feel one with nature. There are a couple of waterfalls in a small narrow valley.

The mountain ranges present opportunities for trekking enthusiasts. Another tourist attraction Thattekere lake is nearby. Trekking is the major adventures sport. This is the most desired destination for the trekkers. Because of the open forest area and near to the city limits accessible to everyone, giving an opportunity to trek.

Monsoons (Aug to Nov) is the best time to visit this place. A little walk over around 100 well laid steps from the parking place takes you to the falls. There is a restaurant and restrooms are available near parking place.

Watch out for monkeys. It’s huge in number.
