Shobha Karandlaje

Indroduction

Shobha Karandlaje (born 23 October 1966 at Puttur to Late Shri. Monappa Gowda and Smt. Poovakka) is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha representing Udupi-Chickmagalur for BJP. She was a cabinet minister in the Government of Karnataka. She was lauded for her performance as the RDPR minister and came to be known as a good administrator.

Elected From Udupi Chikkamagalore.

Education–  M.A., M.S.W. educated at Mysore and Mangalore University

Countries Visited : China, European Countries, Nepal and U.S.A. She was lauded for her performance as the RDPR minister and came to be known as a good administrator. She resigned in 2009 due to a political crisis but was re-instated in 2010 and was entrusted with the energy portfolio. She was the power minister in the Jagadish Shettar government and also had the additional charge of the food and civil supplies department.
