Mallikarjuna Kharge :

Mapanna Mallikarjun Kharge (born 21 July 1942 to Shri. Mapanna Kharge and Smt. Saibavva Kharge)) is an Indian politician and the leader of the INC in the 16th Lok Sabha.

He has won elections for a record 10 consecutive times having won the Assembly elections for an unprecedented 9 consecutive times (1972, 1979, 1983, 1985, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2008, 2009) and the recent General Elections from Gulbarga.


He has been nominated as the leader of the congress party in Lok Sabha against Narendra Modi led NDA government.

He is a sitting MP elected From Gulbarga.

Education –  B.A., L.L.B educated at Government Arts & Science College, Gulbarga and S.S.Law College, Gulbarga.

He is Founder President of Karnataka Peoples Education Society, Gulbarga (till 2012).

Founder President of Siddhartha Vihar Trust Gulbarga (till 2012).

Patron, Chowdaiah Memorial Hall, Bangalore which is one of the premier Concert Halls and Theatre venues in Bangalore.

President of Siddhartha Education Society, Tumkur from 1974 – 1996.

Instrumental in opening of Medical and Technical institutions in Karnataka.

Mithun Rai :

Mithun Rai is the son of Dr. Mahabala rai and entered politics during his student days.  He was an aspirant for Congress ticket in the assembly election from Moodbidri constituency last year.  He is from Bunt community.

Mithun Rai is currently the President of youth Congress in Dakshina Kannada.  His first task would be to bring together the party workers get them work hard to turn voters in his side.

K.H.Muniyappa :

K.H. Muniyappa (born 7 March 1948 to Late Shri.Hanumappa and Late Smt.Venkatamma) is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha of India.He has consecutively represented the Kolar constituency of since 1991 and is a member of the INC. He was the Union Minister of State (Independent charge) of Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.

He is a sitting MP elected From Kolar.

Veerappa Moily :

Marpadi Veerappa Moily (born 12 January 1940 at Moodibidri to Shri. Thammayya Moily and Smt. Poovamma) is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha representing INC. He was the former Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Minister of Corporate Affairs and Minister of Power in the Indian government. situated at Hampankatta in Mangalore City.

He completed his B.L. from University Law College, Bangalore. He led several projects, policies and achievements of the State of Karnataka in Ministries and sectors such as Finance, Irrigation and Power, Urban Development and Infrastructure, Housing and Rural Development, Empowerment, Education and Culture.

He is a sitting MP elected From Chikkaballapur.

Education B.A. from Government College (now known as University College) situated at Hampankatta in Mangalore City. He completed his B.L. from University Law College, Bengaluru.

Responsible for drafting and implementing the Karnataka Land Reforms Act in 1974.

Eshwar Bhimanna Khandre  born 1961/1962 age 56–58. 

Education  :   Bachelor of Engineering ,  PDA College of Engineering,  Gulbarga University.

Khandre is one of the sons of former minister Bhimanna Khandre. He is the third member of the Khandre family to be elected to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from the district. His brother is Vijaykumar Khandre who also represented the constituency two times. Khandre is the chairman of Shantivardhak Education Society.

Shamnur Shiva Shankarappa :

Shamanur Shivashankarappa  Born: 16 June 1931 is a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Davanagere, South Assembly Constituency.  A veteran Congressman, he has been the Treasurer of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee for last three decades and he is also the president of All India Veerashaiva Mahasabha, the apex body of Veerashaivas.

He is the Chairman of Bapuji Educational Association which owns a chain of educational institutions  including Bapuji Institute of Engineering  & Tehcnology and many professional institutions of higher education.He is a well known educationalist and industrialist and owns a group of industries known as Shamanur Group with sugar and Distillaries as prime business

His son Shamanur Mallikarjun, a former Minister for youth and Sports in the Government of Karnataka is a Member of Legislative Assembly representing Davangere North Constituency.

Rizwan Arshad :

Rizwan Arshad is Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress President for second consecutive term.

He started his political career from NSUI as College President, District General Secretary, State General Secretary, National General Secretary. Then continued his career with Indian Youth Congress as State Vice President, National Secretary after that the transformation system of election was bought in the frontal organisations of Congress by Shri. Rahul Gandhi with a vision of opening the doors to common youths & students in the party.

He won the election with the halfway margin for the first time as the President of KPYCC and again He won the consecutive time by a very huge margin.

He got ticket to contest for Lok Sabha elections from Bengaluru central constituency from INC. However he lost to BJP candidate PC Mohan.

On 10 June 2016, he was elected to the Karnataka Legislative Council by getting 34 MLA votes. He got 5 extra votes of JD(S) rebel MLAs led by JD(S) MLA Zameer Ahmed. Required quota to be elected was 29.

V.S.Ugrappa :

V. S. Ugrappa is currently serving as member of Parliament from Bellary Constituency in Karnataka.. A member of the Indian National Congress,  he was elected in a bypoll in November 2018. He defeated the BJP candidate J.Shantha by 2.1 lakh votes.

Ugrappa was previously a member of the Karnataka Legislative Council

He is an advocate by profession.

C.H.Vijaya Shankar :

C. H. Vijayashankar (born 21 October 1956) was a member of the 14th Lok Ssabha. He represented the Mysuru constituency and was a member of the BJP. He was elected member of Karnataka legislative assembly from Hunsur in 1994. In 1998, he was elected to the 12th Lok Sabha from Mysuru Lok Sabha Constituency.

He was re-elected to Mysuru Lok Sabha constituency in 2004 against Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar,  who was the prince of  Mysuru Kingdom and head of the Wadiyar dynasty that ruled the Kingdom of Mysuru between  1399 and 1950.

He served as a Cabinet Minister in the Government of Karnataka holding portfolios: Forest Department from. Forest, Ecology & Environment Department as well as small Scale Industries from C & I Department.

He unsuccessfully contested for 2014 Lok Sabha Elections from Hassan constituency  in 2014 as a BJP candidate against Former Prime Minister H.D.Deve Gowda.

He was the Member of Legislative Council of Karnataka  from 15 June 2010 till the end of his tenure in Jan 2016.

He resigned BJP and joined INC in October 2017.

Prakash Hukkeri :

He is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha from INC. He is born on 5th March 1947 (Age 71). His parents are Sri.Babanna Hukkeri and Smt. Annapurneshwari Hukkeri.

He is a sitting MP elected From Chikkodi.

Education S.S.L.C. educated at K.L.Es G.A. High School, Belgavi, Karnataka.

Veena kashappanvar :

She is wife of wife of Hungund Congress MLA, Vijayananda Kashappanavar,

B.V.Naik :

B.V.Nayak (14 November 1966 (age 51) born at Arkera, Raichur to Venkatesh Nayak and Smt. Savetramma) belongs to INC. He is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha

He is a sitting MP and elected From Raichur.

Education  –  B.Com, L.L.B. (Spl) educated at BRB College of Commerce, Raichur and KPES Law College, Dharwad.

B.N.Chandrappa :

B.N.Chandrappa (1 October 1955 (age 62) born to Shri Nagappa and Smt. Lakshmamma at Lakkavalli, Tarikere, Chikkamagaluru), is a member of Parliament who represents the INC in the 16th Lok Sabha.

He is a sitting MP elected From Chitradurga.

Education –  post-graduate MA (Sociology) from C.V.Raman University, Karnataka.

Social And Cultural Activities : For the past twenty-five years, fighting for the cause of upliftment of the downtrodden and the under privileged. Social activist with focus on education. Runs educational Institute involving Nursery to Secondary School and B.Ed College for workers` children.

D.K.Suresh :

Doddaalahalli Kempegowda Suresh (52 years born in Doddahalli, Ramanagara to Mr. Doddaalahalli Kempegowda and Smt. Gowramma Kempegowda) is a MP of the 16th Lok Sabha.

He is a sitting MP elected From Bengaluru Rural.
