Mohith Venkatesh and Kushi Dinesh from Bengaluru bags gold at Dasara Games in Swimming:

Mohith.V. of Basavanagudi Aquatics Centre clinched gold medal at 400m freestyle events at Dasara Games 2018 along with Kushi Dinesh.

For Khushi, Karnataka’s rising talent in swimming, it has been all about sacrificing a relaxed and enjoyable lifestyle for success in her chosen path. Her life revolves around a strict diet, a disciplined and consistent schedule of practice, driven by the hunger to improve her skills.   Swimming is everything for her but during her leisure time, Khushi, an eighth standard student of Sophia School, loves reading books.

The Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre is functioning successfully under the mentorship of Pradeep Kumar, Dronacharya Award winner, 2016.  Padmanabh Rao works as a Head Coach and he is responsible for all the centre’s activities.

Mohith clocked 4:19:33.  In the women’s event, Kushi was in a class of her own timing 4:44.81.
