Neeraj Chopra was undoubtedly the star of the day for India after he became the first Indian javelin thrower to win an Asian Games gold medal when he shattered his own national record by clearing a distance of 88.06m.  Reigning Asian champion Neeraj Chopra created a new national record on his way to the men’s javelin gold at the 18th Asian Games.
