Women’s Compound Team Archery wins Silver Medal for India at Jakarta

India won silver in the women’s compound team archery event at the 2018 Asian Games.  India wins first set 59-57 against Korea in Compound Women’s Team Gold Medal Match but lose second set 56-58 against Korea in Compound Women’s Team Gold Medal Match.  But in the end, India lost 228-231 to Korea in the summit clash at GBK Archery Field.

 

To enter finals the Indian team comprising Muskan Kirar, Madhumita Kumari and Jyothi Surekha Vennam defeated Taiwan’s Liju Chen, Yihsuan Chen and Mingching Lin 225-222 in the semis.  It needed a sharp focus, exceptional technique and a mammoth desire to succeed and the yield is a great result.

Congratulations to our Women’s Compound Archery team of Muskan Kirar, Madhumita Kumari and Jyothi Surekha Vennam for winning the silver medal in Archery team event.
