ACB is raiding and searching across the State of Karnataka and are on currently against officials with alleged disproportionate assets.

The officials who are being under the scanner includes :

2. Uday D Chabbi

AEE PWD Joida subdivision

Uttara Kannada

3. Mahadevappa

AE, Mines and geology department Mangaluru 

The raid includes at houses in Belagavi , Dandeli and 2 offices, Houses at siddehalli, Bengaluru, Kadripade,  Dakshina Kannada, Kanivehalli Chitradurga and their respective offices.

A Second division assistant (SDA) was allegedly caught by ACB while taking a bribe of Rs.3 lakhs on 31.05.2019.

Mr. Vasudev who was posted at the Department of Health and Family Welfare Office at Indiranagar was trapped by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB). 

He is accused of demanding a bribe of Rs.3 lakh to issue the work order to Mr. Chandrashekar of Xeon Systems, who had won a Rs.3 crore contract to provide staff on a contract basis to the department.

Mr.Vasudev allegedly pestered Mr.Chandrashekar for money to issue the work order.  After a series of negotiations, he settled at R. 3 lakh.  The Government official issued the work order but demanded that the money be paid within days or else he would bar him from bidding for the department’s contracts in the future. 

Health Inspector caught by ACB :

On 03.06.2019 Bengaluru City ACB trapped Mr. Pradeep, Health Inspector for Ward No.193, Shantiniketan Layout, Hulimaavu, Arakeri.

Mr.Pradeep had demanded Rs.10,000/- to issue a trade licence to open a Snooker Parlour.  He is the health inspector for Ward No.193 Arakere in whose jurisdiction the snooker parlour falls.

The Officer has been suspended, bribe money confiscated a case has been registered.

On 09.04.2019 ACB, Bengaluru caught Sri. V.S.Sabarish and Sri. Hulluraiah while accepting a bribe of Rs. 7 lakh.  Both have been suspended.

 A real estate agent from Bengaluru had sold some sites in 2013.  As there were some discrepency in the site,  the purchasers of the sites had asked for resale of the property.

Previously Sri. Sabarish was Inspector at Magadi Police Station when complaints were lodged.  He was then later transferred to Kengeri Traffic Police station.

Inspite of not being the concerned officer, Sri. Sabarish, Police Inspectore, Bengaluru and Sri Hulluraiah, a private person demanded Rs.15 lakh bribe to settle the issue.

Bribe money is been confiscated and case has been registered.  Investigation is on.

ACB raid at Madikeri

ACB Madikeri raided and arrested two officials at Madikeri Taluq and District.

A resident of Mekeri village, Madikeri Taluq and District had sought compensation as per SC/ST Atrocities Act from Social welfare department, Kodagu district. Her husband was murdered on 27.03.2018. In this regard, a case was registered in Madikeri rural P.S under SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.

Smt. Mayadevi Galagali, Deputy Director and Sri Mohan.K.B, S.D.A, Social Welfare Department, Kodagu district had demanded a bribe amount of Rs.20,000/- to recommend the file to DC office for release of Atrocity Composition Relief Fund.

On 15-11-2018 the officials of Kodagu district, ACB  trapped Sri. Mohan.K.B, while accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000/- from the complainant.

The bribe amount has been seized. Both the accused have been arrested. The case is under investigation.

Anti Corruption Bureau Wing, Bengaluru is conducting a public meeting at the Office, Bengaluru North Taluk, Mini Vidhana Soudha, Yelahanka, Bengaluru on 18.09.2018 at 11.00 AM to 4 PM.

ACB, Bengaluru wing officers and subordinates will be present.  The public is requested to attend the meeting and submit complaints concerning Corruption in Government departments.

Case Registered against Government officials at Bengaluru by ACB

A reporter with Television channel  Digvijaya TV, Mr.Muralidhara filed a complaint with ACB on 07.09.2018 against 5 persons.  He has recorded a video with the accused persons demanding bribe for regularizing an illegally constructed structure.  The officials who are booked are :

  2. Shri. Nagaraj, Corporator, Member, Town Planning Committee
  3. Shri. Gururaj, BBMP Official
  4. Shri. G.K.Venkatesh, Corporator, Member, Town Planning Committee
  5. Shri, Chakravarti, Private Person.

The investigation in the case is on.
